Pokémon Bank returns to Japan

Because, you know, screw telling people anything ahead of time, let's just put it back on the eShop quietly and hope not enough people notice to clog our servers all over again! So now we wait for the rest of us to get it. I want to say we're getting it before the end of the week, considering what the initial release timeframe was, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were cutting corners a bit and giving it some time so that traffic in Japan slows down before just giving the damn thing to us already. See what you've done, Nintendo? Now no one can mention Pokémon Bank without getting cynical. This is your own fault for not taking into account what happened with the Dream World when it first opened. THE FUCKING DREAM WORLD didn't work right. What did you think would happen when you actually gave us something halfway decent?

  1. Well, now Nintendo actually posted about this on their Handheld Gaming Facebook Page, but they didn't give any specific date... They instead asked to stay tuned for more future updates. But Game Freak is still completely silent for some reasons.

  3. It sounds like it's version 1.1 now, designed to ease server stress (somehow; apparently it also improved the hack checker); I'm guessing this was the primary reason that the rerelease took a while and not just "how long does it take to make more servers???".
And the NoA twitter (& presumably Pokemon twitter & I'll assume their respective facebooks) even alerted the rest of the world that select Asian countries have had it go back online and to stand by for further news about international release. So at least we get advanced notice.
