Keldeo to get new form as well (Edit: June 10)

There are no pics as of yet, but Keldeo becomes the fifth legendary Pokémon to get an alternate form in BW2. THAT'S ENOUGH. Just like Thundurus and Landorus, there's absolutely no need for one. I know I'm repeating myself, but remember when having multiple forms was something special? Now half of the gen 5 legendaries have them. Sheesh.

Edit (June 10): Well, CoroCoro gave us a sneak peek at Keldeo's Resolution form, and... well, it's the laziest yet, with Keldeo only having a bigger mane and a longer horn. Boooooooo.

  1. Giratina, Shaymin, and Rotom all got alternate formes in Platinum, though, making seven different formes, and we're getting six with BW2. It's only Meloetta's Pirouette Forme and Genesect's alternate formes that are pushing it (Genesect definitely doesn't need those alternate formes).

By the way, do you remember how Regigigas was promised to get an alternate forme when Platinum revealed, but it never did?

    1. But still, only three different Pokémon got alternate forms in Platinum, compared to five here.

  2. And that's not all, the current alternate forms will soon get a new alternate form as well ! (Insert random Xzibit meme here)

But seriously I agree, if they continue, all the Pokemon will have a more powerful form in a Dragonball-esque fashion.

  3. BLECH. I don't even like Alternate Formes. :| I quite liked hearing about the genies, because - well, they're colour-palette-swapped, which is bloody rubbish by any standards. Meloetta's was available from the beginning so it was like, the only Legendary to have one. But why does Keldeo need one?

Oh, and you forgot about Darmanitan and ... there's someone else non-legendary to have two formes in BW.

    1. I don't really count Darmanitan as a separate form though, because the change is induced by an ability.

  4. I can see where they're coming from at least. Introducing new formes of existing Pokémon is the closest thing to introducing new species that the programming will allow, and new Pokémon sell games. However, I really don't see what introducing a new Keldeo forme would accomplish. It's not like they didn't just reveal that Keldeo even existed! Also, what makes Keldeo so special? Why would they not just give alternate formes to the rest of the musketeers while they're at it?

  5. I just want it to get Ice Beam.

    1. Highly unlikely. I don't think alternate forms ever get TMs to use as hand-me-downs.

    2. I think the most they've gotten was the move tutor for Rotom right? Since in Black and White when you change Rotom to Rotom-W its taught Hydro Pump, though the moves only remain as long as it's form is changed. I could be wrong since I haven't touched Rotom in forever, but felt like it should've been mentioned.

  6. Yes, but the Deoxys formes weren't drastic either, though. For all we know, this new forme could have the head of Keldeo but the body of Crobat (just a random combination, but still).

    1. Point taken. I personally have trouble telling Deoxys' RS and FR forms apart, so...

  7. Only Deoxys and Giratina's formes made sense. You can throw Rotom in here as well.
