Jirachi gets Play Rough and Heart Stamp from event

Sadly, those two moves seem to miss just that little oomph to be truly worthwhile in my book. Heart Stamp has a 60% chance of flinching with Serene Grace, and it even has STAB, but so does Iron Head, and that's much more powerful. As for Play Rough... well, it's already got Ice Punch for Dragons, and many of them are hit for 4x damage by it. Not to mention, it already had Moonblast (which was also great when paired with Serene Grace) and nobody used it anyway. Shame.

  1. Jirachi also has Zen Headbutt when it wants Psychic STAB...

    1. True, but it has less accuracy and flinches less. Still a better move altogether, all things considered. It's not the most common move by a stretch though, Iron Head is the gold standard on this guy.

    2. I ran both back in Gen 5, for all that's worth. Then again, Gen 5 was about when I was starting competitively...

  2. Why is it only in Japan? That's bullshit!

    1. Those annual Jirachi events always are... I mean, does the Tanabata festival even have any kind of Western equivalent? I doubt it.

Either way, that kind of thing is the reason why Pokémon Showdown exists. Well, one of them anyway.

    2. That and only taking about ten minutes for a whole team, as opposed to hours on one Pokemon...

  3. The same thing goes for Gamestop events. I may live in America, but for those who don't... well they're fucked.
