Ubisoft... stop. Just, stop.

You know the 6.7 GB patch for AC Unity I mentioned a few days ago? Well, apparently it turns out the patch itself was bugged, and forced people to re-download the whole 40 GB game all over again. The patch. That was supposed to fix everything. Was bugged. 40 flippin' gigabytes. And the best part is, it DOESN'T fix everything, especially in regards to a framerate so low, especially on the Xbox One version, that even I could tell something was up. Expect another massive patch for Valentine's Day, I guess.

  1. Okay... when I saw this blog entry... I just burst out laughing. Ubisoft should pull out of video gaming right now.

  2. Wow, it's no wonder Jade Raymond abandoned ship shortly before the release of Unity. She knew.

  3. It's like they're supervillains. They advertise their products as thoroughly tested, but there's absolutely no way that's true if they release games in this state. It's a shame, too, because I really enjoy the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry games. The only times that I've gotten frustrated with previous entries is when Ubisoft tries to inject Uplay bullshit in order to access certain content.

  4. What!? 40 gigabytes? No wonder the game runs so slow, adding more will probably just make it worse!

  5. Not like Game Freak cares about frame rates on the 3DS games.

    1. True, but then again the 3DS isn't an expensive state-of-the-art masterpiece of technology either.

  6. The French Revolution game deserved to be the best in the series... I'll hate Ubisoft forever for this mess.
