PACHIRISU WORLD CHAMPION

Salamence Draco Meteor on Garchomp? NOT A SINGLE FUCK WAS GIVEN THAT DAY. Not kidding, Pachirisu repeatedly saving Garchomp's hide with Follow Me was what won it for the new world champion.

Pachirisu. World championship caliber. I have no words.

  1. So... the most hilarious thing on competitive pokemon history... Masters world champion 2014 using and winning with a Pachirisu. And I was there to see the final blow.

    1. If next year's obligatory VGC-related events aren't Pachirisu... WE RIOT.

    2. Considering the crowd and how it reacted to that Pachirisu, it would be a huge surprise if there wasn't a Pachirisu event.

    3. Yeah, I can't recall an American crowd rooting against the American in anything ever.

  2. Wow. I need linked to that when people post it on YouTube. Granted, it does take specific strategies and niches to make the likes of Pachirisu usable, but it is interesting. Except for the comments being filled there with people who go to the Church of Ash and Karen...

    1. The champion later explained that he considered using Rage Powder Amoonguss, but other players found it relatively easy to play around it with its more considerable amount of weaknesses. And as horribly low as Pachirisu's BST is, the spread itself is actually really good for a Follow Me user, and then there's that single solitary weakness to Ground. And that's how the legend was born.

    2. That goes into the surprise factor of the game. He was able to use a pokemon seldom seen very well and the big players have a tendency to ignore the lesser pokemon and not prepare for them. As a result, when someone uses a lesser pokemon they don't fully know what it's capable of and how to deal with it.

  3. Exactly. Seeing him play that Pachirisu was a thing of beauty. He knew exactly when to use Follow Me, when to use Protect, when to use Nuzzle, when to use Super Fang. If any of us tried that shit, they'd end up with a dead Pachirisu faster than a scarfed Deoxys-E with three Agility boosts.

  4. I don't think a scarved Deoxys-E with stuck on Agility would die quickly. I think someone smart would switch in something with a set up move into that.

(that's sarcasm, not me misunderstanding you)
