Paradox of the day

Most of the social justice warriors who claim women are being wronged by this whole Assassin's Creed thing are MEN. They're bitching over a thing women themselves don't care about enough to grind their gears over. Because women know there are far more pressing issues for them than who you get to play as in a video game whose target audience is males anyway.

I guess there is truth in the fairer sex being the smarter sex.

  1. I think we know the real reason. Guys just want to play as a girl for some..... perverted reason or the like. I mean most pokemon speedrunner play as the girl because it "more appealing to the eyes". There words not mine. I mean I seen enough social justice by women to know that they are no better when it come to pointless things.

    1. I know right, what makes a ten year old girl appealing to the eyes?

    2. I don't know either, but maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with Skyla fanartists. OH GOD WHY DID I REMIND MYSELF OF THAT

    1. Lack of female playable characters or something like that.

    2. I went and looked it up. Apparently people are bitching that Assassin's Creed Unity isn't featuring any female characters, because of various reasons (such as the historical fact that the most famous assassin of the middle ages was indeed a woman)

...I just don't fucking get it. You people go nuts over THAT? There's nothing offensive here. Nothing at all. There's literally nothing to get worked up about. So the characters are guys. Well, whatever. They're guys. Good odds on are that this isn't going to matter in the slightest.

(also the article I saw this all in had a lot of these people talking about Tomb Raider, because Lara Croft was in no way blatantly sexualized and therefore an actual potential problem.)

    3. Oh, this old argument. What a joke, especially for an AC game.

  3. Um ever heard of Anita Sarkeesian? If it didn't take her like three months just to come out with a new video I'm sure she would be talking about this too.

  4. Just because a game doesn't have many women in it doesn't mean it's sexist. Now it would be more sexist if there were women in it but with shitty stereotypical roles. Like Princess Peach.

  5. To be fair, ubisofts bullshit rebuttle to the issue certainly didn't help anyone, if anything they added a good solid oak log to the fire.

"Oh, we can't have more female protaganists because their too hard to animate!" Said nobody sane ever.

But at the end of the day, I'm a proponant of if you want something done do it yourself. You want more females in video games? Make video games with female protaganists, yelling at someone else to do doesn't yield as solid of results I find.

    1. While it's true that Ubisoft really dropped the ball, it has nothing to do with the fact that people make way too big of a deal in regards to playable character variety. Just look at the Tomodachi Life controversy in regards to gay marriage. Just because Skyrim allows gay marriage doesn't mean every game that doesn't is suddenly homophobic propaganda.

    2. Probably the worst example you could've drawn up, since Tomodachi Life not allowing Miis to be gay is kinda a major thing since the whole point is that your playing YOURSELF, and is a Dating Sim when you get down to it.

Albiet, I'll be fair and say expecting them to include gay romance within a month of releasing world wide is kinda silly, considering the whole point of that game is to make baby. The only way to fix it would to include an adoption mechanic which would take well more than a month to impliment.

Though the fact they didn't even think of that while making the game is an issue I feel in of itself, however the topic of Gay Marrige isn't as huge of a hot topic in Japan as it is currently in Western culture. So them just not thinking of it is understandable, but still something that should be changed.

Though they can definently use this as a barganing chip when they inevitably make a sequel.

    3. I'll give you that one. Can you tell I don't know shit about Tomodachi Life? And that I don't get how what you qualify as a dating sim can be such a huge hit?

Anyway, this is what happens when you're the one Japanese developer that doesn't try to pander to Western audiences at every turn.

  6. What I have to say is that to SJWs, well, game developers dont HAVE to conform to your standards, YEAH WHAT A SUPRISE, for example, when South Park:The Stick of Truth came out, there were articles from feminists complaining about the lack of a female option when making your character, and then everyone in the comments said how, if you watch SP the girls are just kinda on the side, like how boys saw girls with cooties in the 4th grade and such
