Y'know I was thinking the exact same thing. I would have definitely changed my choice if I was going to choose Fennekin in the first place
Nope. I've used Torchic/Blaziken plenty of times and always like to make a team of just the new gen pokemon. Obviously I will still get the Torchic, I would be a moron not to, but I won't be using it.
Now that you mention it...Yes...
I don't ever touch event Pokemon unless I plan to use it competitively, and then I only raise it exactly like I want to. Definitely no in-game use for me. I'll stick with Fennekin unless it sucks.
Apparently, that Super Training thing is for EVs. Depending on when the feature becomes available in-game, you could still use it competitively. As for people like me...I already have one, so I can use this one on my team (should not be like having Genesect and using it). Thank you, Action Replay (Wi-Fi still thinks it is legitimate). Granted, I will be playing a lot of the minigame to transfer Pokemon if they actually do that. I use 90 competitively, and I may want to transfer a few others...
I'm going to get the event Torchic, but save it for when I'm building up for a Wi-Fi team. I'll go for Fennekin for the casual playthrough though
Well, if Fennekin turns out to be good, then we could have a FIRE TYPE ONLY RUN on our hands. I mean, there's the fire starter, the fire starter from event, the bird who may be the basic bird who's part fire...
I was planning on using Chespin on my first play through and Froakie on my second. I'd like to use exclusively new Pokemon on my first play through, but unless there are a staggering amount of really good new fire types this gen I will more than likely use it on my second time through the game.
This doesn't change any of my plans. Chespin for X, Froakie for Y, then Fennekin on second play of Y
i was planning on using fennekin but this came and made my choice go to chespin
No, I'll still be using Fennekin. I'll use Torchic if there is any room for it after I plan out the rest of my team.
