Subscriber surge: stranger and stranger

After a few days of these shenanigans, I figured out that these daily surges of subs only seem to happen overnight. Nothing at all during the daytime. And my newest video (part 112 as of now) has an enormous amount of likes, much more than any other of my recent videos. Analytics isn't of much help, it's claiming I've gotten way less subs than I actually did.

It almost feels like someone used one of these shady sub-buying sites on my behalf. That's probably not it, but that's what it feels like. And if that IS what happened, I wonder if I should be honored that someone's willing to shell out money to get me noticed, or utterly creeped out.

  1. Well at least whoever they are, they aren't doing anything to get themselves banned.

  2. You should be creeped out at the prospect of having a fan more psychotic than me in that he is willing to spend money (that he could be using for food, clothing, video games, or vodka) just to see your subscriber count go up. Heck, the potential of having a psychotic fan that is not me should be reason enough to be disturbed...

  3. I'm more amazed that there are services where people can buy subscribers. Every time I think I understand just how nutty most people are, another curveball.

How many have you gotten these last few days? Three, four hundred?

    1. Maybe those left-wing liberal bastards who liked how Slow bashed Fox News (right-wing conservative bastards) in one episode of Red and one episode in Platinum?...

    2. I say this because of the events in Boston this week.

A person I go to college with legitimately thought it could be Nazis.
When I pointed out that they really aren't that large of a problem, he nodded and said, "You're probably right, they would of left a swastika." OF COURSE.

All that to say I'm blaming everything on Nazis now.
      Watch your subs Slow. 0_o

  5. Is it possible to find out what accounts subscribed to your channel recently? If the account names seem too suspicious, that might explain things...

    1. Usually, when someone subscribes to you, you get an e-mail saying, "Blahblahblah213 subscribed to your channel!"

    2. Yeah, you don't want a thousand e-mails up your arse about new subscribers.

    3. Then it is a good thing I am not very popular on YouTube in terms of subscriber count. Allows me to fly under the radar, so to speak...

  6. I remember reading about something similar on Facebook, that some pages would buy likes, and to make it believable, the ones liking the page would also like similar pages. I don't know if the pages who sells subscriptions does the same, but it would make sense.
