It's like everybody knows Romney's a terrible candidate except for the US! If we do somehow manage to elect this guy, I'll know by the resounding cries of "DUMBASS!" from across the globe. >_>
To be fair, these numbers you see there tend to repeat themselves every election. Republicans in general have a terrible reputation abroad.
Probably because the Republicans in general aren't what they were at the time of Abe Lincoln. Most of them only care about the dollar. Oh and of course the whole "God and Jesus"-thing pisses of many people too. I mean the way Jesus talked and acted he was a socialist - not a yerk saying that the rich should have all the money and the poor should go to hell. If you go by religion then geeh, get it right dear Republicans...
Hey, why so much hate on Romney ? :D (*HEAVY SARCASM CUE*)He actually has pretty well-hidden objective in his agenda. Seriously, watch this, it's pure gold, I'm not a fan of either politics, nor the main subject mentioned in the video, but I still found it funny as hell.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TiXUF9xbTo
Well the entire world does seem to hate the US for different reasons, so I guess this is no different.
I can't understand how anyone actually considers voting for Romney. I mean, it's so obvious that he'll just do politics for the rich people. Yeah the rich people the only one's having a excellent time in the USA. I mean in the last 10 years the richest people of America have doubled their money and not one single new job has been created. Yeah great tactic Romney... What they'll do is keep the money for themselves. Nowadays a company doesn't just try to make profit (which I could understand) but it's all about making as much profit as possible and paying as less as necessary. And for that the rich people have the lowest taxes since the USA was founded 250 years ago? Seriously, making the rich pay a bit more and give the poorer people the money so they can run the economy is the only way that'll work. Don't know how so many people can't see it. I guess you can lead a donkey to the oasis but you can't force them to drink...
Yeah, I know from firsthand experience that when a company makes more profit, expanding their staff and giving out raises is pretty low on their list of priorities. And this is why there's only one country in the world where people really think things work like that.
Sadly, hundreds of millions of people and I live in that country, and it seems most of them really are in that state of naïveté...
Yeah it's a huge issue that we're not cracking down on companies that are top loading their profits. They're the real problem with America right now because when things are bad they're hoarding and when things are good they're not giving it to the working class. It's a horrible business practice and people have allowed it to happen. The bailouts where a big example of this since none of the companies receiving stimulus put that money towards preserving jobs, unemployment still increased and instead we saw an increase in CEO pay rates. Our politicians are basically in on in as they do the same things for themselves and work in tandem with these corporations. Almost none of them have any sense of integrity or generosity and I wish that the "economically wise" Republican party called them out on it, because then they'd at least prove that they have the countries economy as their best interest. Though honestly I don't think either party actually does, they're two sides of the same coin.
Man that post was a little sloppy grammar and spelling wise. I shouldn't do this in the middle of the night anymore.
I think the real problem with US politics isn't that either candidate sucks, it's that they both do. We have a guy who won't do anything, and a guy who won't do anything good (And I'll let you pick which one is which, honestly). Damnit world is it so hard to get thinkers in office?
Now I don't want to say that Obama has deserved the Nobel Peace Price but you must give him some credit. He tried to change many things but the Republicans blocked EVERYTHING just because it was from a Democrat. I followed politics over the last 4 years and it happened all the time. Obama doesn't get into that bullshit of both parties but tries to actually do something. However, he's no king and there's no way around the parliament. No don't get me wrong - he's not a hero or a second Lincoln/Kennedy but he's doing a decent job in trying to get America back on the way after Bush exploited the country for 8 years. And the fact he hasn't changed anything isn't true (the health system for example), as for the other things the Republicans just have a blocking politics, just like a little child that fells offended. Heck they even blocked laws against homo-sexual discrimination. Sorry but that was just ridiculous.
Linkara puts it best how the government is now:"We should do something!""Should we do something?""We should do something!""Should we do something?"YES, YOU SHOULD DO SOMETHING, YOU BORING IDIOTS!...Not every President can be Lincoln, I am afraid. What is this, at the election if Romney wins, Congress ends up being predominantly Democrat? Fuuuuu-With Slow is near the only place I can make fun of my own country without negative retribution...
The national debt was 10 trillion. It is now 16. That's within four years. There is no major war (I'm talking World War 2 or Vietnam levels of money), and no major changes. You'd expect that most of that went to make the economy better, but no - it's still in the doldrums, and even if it is better, that may well be just the economic cycle. To be fair to Obama, I note that he didn't push many gun restrictions after the Trayvon Martin affair - when Clinton, amongst other party members, were - but I'm sorry, I can't say that either Romney or Obama is a good candidate to help out.
seems every 4 years america enters a screaming contest for donkeys and elephants. god how much i want to slap the living sh*t out of voters now. no one looks at what they offer is either are they stamped with donkey or elephant
And that's why 30% of all registered voters are not registered as Republican or Democrat. No one likes a label. Expecially those two labels.
