Don't try to make sense of politics.

Canadian politician tells an opponent he has no chance of ever becoming prime minister, his entire party gets obliterated into irrelevance. American politician goes on a racist rampage, insults veterans, etc. and he just keeps polling higher and higher.

You can't explain that.

  1. Sure you can, the USA has a large number of assholes who like it when someone pisses on people they disdain. Same reason the GOP agenda is "whatever Dems like, we don't like, unless it involves money then we like it more!"

  2. Mexican polititian promises to bring back hope and change the cartel situation, lets a Druglord escape and does nothing about it
However this might be explained by them being paid off

    1. Trump's ego having its own gravitational pull is nothing new. Just look at all the shit he's posted on Twitter over the years.

  4. Actually it's easy.
The Canadian politician got a bit too personal, and the American one went for a global insult, making the buzz among the stupid.

Even when you understand a bit of it, politics are stupid.

    1. Trump got too personal with John McCain, though. Only reason I can think of for letting that fly is that Republicans somehow hate McCain for losing to Obama.

    2. It's cause he's too wishy washy man.

They don't hate him *because* he lost to Obama, he lost *because* he never had conservative support. Sides in the world of politics there isn't a too personal.

Also I don't recall Trump's racist triade, I remember the veteran thing tho.

    3. You missed him saying Mexicans were rapists? Good for you, some of your brain cells would've probably abandoned ship right then and there.

    4. He insinuated that most Latinos are criminals (specifically drug smugglers and racists)

  5. It baffles me how after everything he's done, Donald Trump STILL continues to overtake the rest of the GOP. Really says something about the country I live in, doesn't it?

    1. At this point I'm hoping his poll numbers would be the same if he had only one opponent instead of 16, and those 16 are just splitting up the not-Trump vote.

  6. I am like Kyubey from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I don't get it. I get the theory as to why such a thing happens, but logic should dictate that Donald Trump should never get a government job again. Even if there are still white, rich, Christian, American people who hate everything that doesn't fall into those four categories. Can we get at least one election where it's not a matter of who could potentially screw over the country less?...
