You know, now that you say that, the lazy sounding name makes a lot more sense and that worries me. Or maybe it's just me thinking that. Hopefully, it's just me thinking that.
It seems Nintendo wants to push Pokemon spin-offs towards more mobile-quality and microtransactions as they shift towards a mobile focus. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out worse than MD3. Scary times ahead for Nintendo fans.
For what it's worth, I don't see how a roguelike could work with the mobile formula. A beat-em-up and a puzzle game, fine. A roguelike? Can you imagine your typical mobile "gamer" playing a roguelike?
I don't understand why you don't like Gates to Infinity. GTI was a pretty fun game......okay, yeah, there are some problems with it, but it's still a good game.
Here's to hoping they don't make it like Shuffle or Rumble World.

DeleteThe Japanese site apparently mentions a retail release or something (read it on Serebii Joe's personal account.
DeleteThere's still the issue of MD3 being a retail game too, and sucking greasy Bouffalant gonads regardless.

ReplyDeleteIf it was the first of its class (like Rumble) people would have forgiven it its faults, but it came after MD2, and the comparison will always exist.
DeleteStill not real shit though. It could have been MDWii.
