I'm not entirely sure how this happened, but the consensus among the community is that it seems to be real. Now, here's the million-dollar question: Does this open up the possibility of more DLC newcomers, or is this confirmation that Rayman and Mewtwo is all we're getting?
What I do know is, Mewtwo and Rayman make a neat, perfectly arranged character selection screen. So it's probably all we're getting. One thing I'm wondering is, will they have trophies for beating Classic and All-Star with them? Because they already have their own trophies...
