Woopsie!

I've accidentally put up an unfinished version of my thoughts on Xenoblade by clicking "Publish" instead of "Save". Of course it wasn't meant for your eyes just yet, so if you saw it pop up in the few seconds it was up, my apologies - this is especially bad considering I hadn't fully delimited the segment that had spoilers in it. It IS a lengthy piece, and I'll probably have it up sometime this weekend. But for now... yeah, probably should stay in the draft folder right now.

  1. Speaking of something tangentially related to Xenoblade, I really hope Chugga feels better soon. He's been out for over a month with some virus or something, and Xenoblade was the first series of his I got into for quite some time. Ugh, maybe I will just cave in and buy a copy from GameStop after all...

    1. Considering how expensive the game is on the used market, good luck finding one at Gamestop.

    2. I found a used copy going for 80$, hope you can find one, not going to be at a good price of course

    3. Surprisingly, the GameStops near me all have it in stock for $50. It's either that or wait several months for the New 3DS version, and portable Xenoblade in 3D is not a good enough reason for me to buy new hardware.

  2. On a different note, new Megas include Pidgeot and Beedrill (implying Butterfree will get one too). There's also some Eon item that gives access to the Sky, where you can catch many, many Legendaries. With both games and X/Y's small selection of Legendaries, all of them sama events should be available...

    1. At least they're giving megas to pokemon who REALLY need help. Pidgeot and Beedrill are insignificant blips even in NU right now

    2. Zardtards, eat your hearts out.

    3. Mega Pidgeot gets No Guard, which would be interesting if it gets a significant boost to Sp. Atk for some serious Hurricane abuse. Aside from that, though, it's kind of a waste, since all of Pidgeot's other moves are pretty accurate to begin with.

Adaptability Mega Beedrill sounds a lot better, being able to buff X-scissor, U-turn, Poison Jab, and even give Fell Stinger some better kill potential. It's still a freaking Beedrill, though, and Adaptability buffing bug and poison STAB isn't nearly as useful as it is buffing stuff like Crawdaunt's Aqua Jet/Knock Off or Mega Lucario's Close Combat.

While these 2 REALLY appreciate the help, I don't see them going up by more than a tier at most. I guess it gives the lower tiers some interesting toys to play with, but not much else.
