A hail of crappy events!

First, an event tying in with Pokémon Get☆TV! You'll never guess the species... yeah, it's Pikachu. We don't know the details as of yet, but all odds point to either no event move at all, or a totally worthless one. Hey, let's play a game! Let me know in the comments what move you think it would get if there is one, and the winner (which will be no one if there's no special move, of course) gets nothing but bragging rights!

Then we have an event that's currently exclusive to... Paris? Anyway, one of the two Vivillon patterns that are unavailable by normal means will be distributed for the first time. Remember, though, the pattern on Vivillon depends on where it was GENERATED, meaning you can't breed more of them. So if you see someone claim he's got a Pokéball Vivillon with perfect IVs, he's bullshitting you. Not that anyone normal would want to use Vivillon even if it had perfect IVs, but still...

  1. YAY ANOTHER PIKACHU JUST WHAT I WANTED THANKS SANTA
Is this the mentality that the developers have? Because I'm pretty sure that even the kiddies aren't going to care. And shoot me please if anyone here likes Pikachu enough to go get a worthless event Pikachu with no defining characteristics to set it apart.
Also, WTF is with the events limited to a random location on the globe? Why not give it to everyone?

  2. Well I took a look through the attack dex and there where some pretty good choices ( as in useless moves that it doesn't have). I going to going to go with Follow Me.

    1. The best thing is, Sketch as an event-only move would be a great idea, because you couldn't get it through the move relearner, and as such you'd only get one wild card move as opposed to any move combination in the game like Smeargle does. One of Smogon's gen 5 CAPs used Sketch as an egg move to do just that, but now that the move relearner can teach egg moves it doesn't work anymore, leaving events as the only way to do anything like that.

    2. Wrong. In X and Y, you CAN re-learn forgotten event moves, as well as forgotten Egg moves.

    3. With the condition that the pokemon in question was obtained in a Gen 6 game. So giving any pokemon Sketch as an event in this generation would utterly break it.

    4. Well fuck. There goes one of the coolest concepts the Pokémon fanbase ever thought of without it ever getting used.

  4. Disarming Voice.
Wanted to go with Follow Me at first, but someone already picked the move. D:

  5. Splash Pikachu, everybody run. They haven't done that one yet right?

  6. After that shameful Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire display, I wouldn't be surprised if the moveset was Taunt, Trick, Torment, and Fake Tears.

But if I only get to pick one, it would probably be Torment.

  7. A top-secret electric move that hasn't been datamined? The super-secret Raichunite that the hackers never found? We all know it needs it, I don't think the +10 speed boost was enough for it to stand apart from it's competitors.

Nah, it's gonna get draining kiss. Either that or parabolic charge. No. Not lame enough.

Okay. I got it. You know that 1000 thieves thing they're doing? I just checked pikachu's movepool and it can't learn the thief TM, so they're going to do a tie-in with that. Thief Pikachu. Bravo, gamefreak.

  8. Ok, guys, I've been saying it for years, we all know what this means.

TIME FOR THE RISE OF MUD BOMB PIKACHU!

  9. Hey Slowflake, have you seen "Chinese Emerald" yet? Guys who did Vietnamese crystal just started this one. Translation is better (such a low bar, you can dig five feet under and walk and still clear that one) but well let's just say "pound" is translated as "fihgt" (sic) and you get your starter from Professor Odd (or sometimes aOde). Might be worth checking out periodically even if it never can top "Drug bag fuck"

  10. Probably "Hold Hands"
I don't think any pokemon has been given away with that like Happy Hour & Celebrate was

But slowflake, dont forget, the free movie-tie in download title ALSO has a pikachu!

    1. "Hold Hands?" Is that a real move or one you made up?

    2. Maybe he was talking about Hold Back? It was given to Celebi BTW.

    3. http://serebii.net/attackdex-xy/holdhands.shtml

I think it was uncovered at the same time as Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves. It does jack shit.

    4. Who knows, maybe it increases happiness? That'd be an effective way to grind it, if it does.

    5. It says "ally pokemon hold hands", so maybe it's some super death attack in Triples or Rotation?

Or perhaps it's like Beat Up in the old days in that it has no base power because it's strength is based on the pokemon you have left.

    6. It also says teammates are targeted, so that can't be the case.

    7. Could be a really good healing move that effects allies, then. Like Heal Pulse, but Triples/Rotation only and not single target.

  11. No, let's say that they get serious. I don't know if this is possible, but if anyone remembers the hacked Wondertomb distribution (I believe it said something like Spiritomb is legit lol)- but this time, a Pikachu with Huge Power (And of course, Volt Tackle). If it evolve, it loses Huge Power. That would be scary. PIKACHU IN OU WHAT IS HAPPENING

  13. Pikachu is definitely getting Splash. Though seriously it'll probably just get Baby Doll Eyes.
