Useless events: what's the point?

And I'm not talking about events that give new moves to Pokémon, but those moves are useless, either. I'm talking about stuff like this, that you can very, VERY easily make yourself (minus the Cherish Ball and unimportant stuff like that). Because I'm at a loss. Would even the most dedicated fans go grab such an event Pokémon if given the chance? I doubt it.

  1. Maybe... because they can only be gotten in the Friend Safari in this game? Fuck if I know, really.

  2. Oh yeah, apparently, someone put a Meowth on Google Maps as part of a prank.

  3. It's the two-year anniversary of your first Hello Kitty LP!

You gotta celebrate by coming back to youtube to finish it! =^_^=

  4. I just wish they'd stop doing in-store events. In the UK we miss out on a lot of them and I am not going all the way to sutton to attempt to find the GAME store and download an Electabuzz and Magar with DW abilities. (mainly because I do all my battling on PS!)

  5. You could've done a good April Fool's joke by announcing you were gonna do a Colosseum LP.

    1. Nobody would have believed it, he's previously expressed a strong dislike of that game.

    2. It's because of colosseum inexplicably kicking my arse in the first round that I learned how they revamped the EV system. I might not be so hardcore if the game wasn't released.

  6. The event Electabuzz is useless because Motor Drive is the whole reason you use Electivire. Magmar...Well, on the off chance you want to use Magmortar, Flame Body does have more utility...

    1. Yeah, but all the moves it has are level-up moves. Just catch a Magmar in the Friend Safari, use the move relearner to get Smokescreen and Fire Spin, and boom, you've already got your own event replica.
