Theorymon time: What if Sleep Talk could trigger Rest again?

It's no secret, nowadays defensive Pokémon and teams have a rough time against the onslaught of super-powered offensive moves out there. So I was thinking, remember how back in gen 2 Sleep Talk could trigger Rest to refill HP while also resetting the sleep counter? It was brutally overpowered at the time, thanks to a metagame so stall-oriented battles that lasted 200 turns happened way too often for everyone's liking. But with everything that's happened since then, such as the new EV system introduced in gen 3, the physical/special split, and the introduction of countless offensive powerhouses, do you think it could work without being as brutal as it was in gen 2? Defensive playstyles sure need the hand... the only real reason I'm iffy on even mentioning this idea is the fact that OU's top Pokémon, Rotom-W, actually uses Rest quite often. But the only OU that really gets any significant mileage out of it is Trevenant... what do you think?

  1. While that may help, defensive styles still need a few hands for things to come back to a balance. Here are some suggestions.

    1) More pokemon with a lot of bulk and the unaware ability
    2) More Prankster pokemon with access to entry hazards
    3) More useful healing moves with good distribution
    4) Moves that restore the user's HP and status at once, but with only 5 pp
    5) More useful abilities, like one which clears the field upon entering it (( To keep it balanced, the pokemon would still get hurt by hazards upon entering, but after the hazards hurt the pokemon they'd vanish ))
    6) Moves that boost both defences by 2 stages at once
    7) More moves to reset the opponent's stat changes

    1. 8) Boost the PP of Morning Sun, Synthesis and Moonlight from 5 to 10. They have no reason to only have 5 pp

    2. While more Pranksters would be good, I'd like it if viable archetypes were more varied. I dunno, they could get creative with defensive megas or something.

  2. Slowflake, how do you register pokemon bank? I still have days left on the trial period but I have no idea how to activate it. I want to keep this thing all year round. I'm scared off all my pokemon being deleted when time runs out.

    1. Ummm... I don't even remember, because I had no trouble whatsoever.

    2. When you have a certain number of days left on your trial it will automatically remind you from my experience. Then it's on the front screen.

    3. I think you have a grace period after your trial ends to take Pokémon out of the bank, but you can't put any in. Also, it should ask you if you want to purchase another pass for PB soon. In any case you can avoid your Pokémon being deleted by not having them in the bank when your trial ends.

    4. After an unspecified amount of time, the Bank Pokemon get lost forever if you don't buy a pass. Great fun, that...
