Oh, sorry, this was my reaction at Trozei 2's reveal. Or rather, non-reveal, since we've known this was in the works for a while, it just lacked an official announcement. Which we got today. And I don't care.
We've been teased about the possibility of a Conquest 2 somewhere down the line before, and I'd much rather see that. Or Ranger 4. Or Mystery Dungeon 4 (they still owe us an apology for MD3, remember?). But WOOHOO, here comes Trozei 2 with FOUR-PLAYER CO-OP! New Super Mario Bros. U can go home now!
Explain to me one thing, though: why different titles in Europe and North America? What kind of marketing decision is that? If you're not too savvy about that kind of thing, once the game's out you're going to get confused when you inevitably see the other title on the internet. Did we learn nothing from FF4 and 6? Or SMB2 (both of them)? And that was back when there was no internet, mind you!
Of course any of the other spin-off games would be better, but since it's only $8, I'm not going to complain. These kinds of small puzzle games are good for the e-Shop, and they're fun little time wasters every once in a while.
ReplyDeleteConsidering all the problems with MD3, at least the story was good.
ReplyDeleteStill want Conquest 2: Nobunaga's Boogaloo though.
Gotta love the title. I personally thought it was Cyndaquil's cry played over and over myself.
ReplyDeleteWhat WOULD be the most annoying cry in Pokemon?...
DeletePersian's pre-XY cry. It literally just screeches at you.
DeleteI don't know what the most annoying cry is but my worst is Dialga's. The worst part is that Dialga is one of the few Pokemon I'd confirm for my Top 5 favorites.
DeleteBadass god of time sounds like a dying chicken. Who knew?...
DeleteActually, I stand corrected, the worst cry of all time is Pikachu's X and Y cry. For obvious reasons.
DeleteMakes it more satisfying to slaughter it with Daidarabotchi the Groudon~...
DeleteI have some catharsis for you. Go to the forest with the volume muted. Being Groudon (Level 100). KILL EVERY PIKACHU YOU SEE!...
DeleteSorry. BRING it...
DeleteSo I read that Diancie is a suddenly transformed Carbink and I was like oh I bet Slowflake has something to say about that. So I check and nope still nothing. Goes to show you can't predict what Slowflake deems worthy of talking about.
ReplyDeleteOr he's busy and just hasn't gotten round to updating the blog yet today
DeleteNo, it's just that it was so obvious, there literally is nothing to say.
DeleteWith that said, I have a job FFS. Is it so hard to wait until the next day, at least?
Smoothest response ever.
DeleteHey, it's true. I don't know where people get this notion that I'm online 24/7. Especially since I'm a model employee and don't go on the internet whenever I'm working.
DeleteWell I wouldn't say it was obvious. I mean this is the first time a regular Pokemon can turn into an event Legendary. It takes quite a few logic leaps to assume that Carbink really was going to turn into Diancie.
DeleteGreat physical resemblance, same typing, same ability, same stats except for higher attack and special attack, its last four level-up moves are Carbink's last three and Diamond Storm, very similar Japanese names, and it wasn't obvious? What more did you need?
