The Canadian scientific sector has taken a lot of hits since the Conservatives were elected in 2006, perhaps none as obvious as the fact that public scientific organizations can no longer communicate directly with the media without a nice old conservative governmental filter. And just how heavy is this unneeded bureaucracy that has all the looks of ideological censorship? Well... this says it all. (The author even felt generous and considered the response time in Canada to be 5 hours 40 minutes. I would've said four or five months considering the final entry in the Canadian timeline.)
Keep in mind, this was almost two years ago! It can't possibly have gotten better since then.
Wow. That's like ordering a sandwich at a restaurant and having the waiter tell you that they'll need to determine whether or not you need a sandwich then telling you an hour later to come back next week to get it.
