Pokémon and Nobunaga's Ambition: no longer the strangest crossover

Yeah, they went there.

The question is, where do we go from there? Starcraft and My Little Pony? Mille Bornes and Chrono Trigger?

  1. OH GOOD. I'm glad I didn't get excited about the announcement.

    1. I really wish they announced this before X and Y. Could you imagine the rage?

    2. Oh god. There would've been no end to the WHERE'S OUR HOENN REMAKES complaints. Heck, X and Y already got enough of these as it is.

  2. If I know bronies like I think I do, the MLP and Starcraft thing is coming.

    1. At least the MLP crossovers stay in the dark reaches of fan art and fan fiction. It makes it irritating when you want to see a picture of Flandre Scarlet pulverizing Twilight, only to find pictures of ponies, Touhou characters as ponies, or Touhou characters interacting with ponies. Granted, I would scream if MLP got as popular with crossovers and stuff as Touhou. 1. I actually like Touhou. 2. It is dignified to like Touhou with a Y chromosome...Unless you do not like difficult vertical bullet hells...
Trust me, fan art and fan fiction already has you covered with MLP crossovers. Let us hope that Blizzard does not have any bronies around...

    2. Maybe MLP can cross with Angry Birds :P

    3. Already being developed, probably. Angry Birds crossing over with TOUHOU, on the other hand, might actually make Angry Birds kind of interesting. Think about it. You would knock down a pyramid or whatever while having to maneuver past a dense rain of bullets in pretty patterns. Or something like that...

    4. You had me at "knock down object in a SHMUP."

    5. Are you familiar with Touhou, or does the idea just fascinate you?...

  3. I would suggest something Touhou oriented, but that has already crossed over with everything ever, pretty much. So, I guess...Mega Man and Sailor Moon...

  4. No, I have a crossover idea that could top Horse Racing and Solitare. My Little Pony...and Diablo. Those two have pretty much NOTHING in common...

    1. Google Whimsyshire. Yeah, that just happened.

    2. The Wiki says they were referencing a Diablo 2 Easter egg level. Anyway, there goes that comparison. I have another. Though the third movie kind of already did it in theme: Pokemon...and Silent Hill...

    3. That's not the whole story. It has more to do with the fact that in the very first gameplay video back when D3 was revealed, there was a visible rainbow in one of the outdoor areas, prompting much outrage (and of course counter-outrage). It eventually became a running gag during the years the game spent in development hell, as well as the prospect of a secret level based on unicorns and rainbows, so Blizzard really had no choice but to oblige.

    4. Well, unlike you, I have never touched the Diablo series (not counting the Touhou game based on the Diablo games). Forgive me for not doing more research on the matter...

  5. I WOULD say Phoenix Wright and Fire Emblem except Phoenix Wright fanboys have probably combined that game with everything by now. (though probably not to the extent of MLP)

  6. This is actually pretty funny. If it's not too expensive, I might even try it out just for the heck of it.

  7. Still, nothing tops EarthBound Doom to me.

  8. Most unlikely crossover...

    Macross and Madden NFL Football.

Madden isn't liked anywhere outside of the US, and Macross is entirely unable to be released in the US until Harmony Gold stop being colossal fucktards and just die already.

  9. Strangest and most unlikely crossover : Pokémon and a MMORPG. Seriously, I sincerely hope it never happens and I'm tired seeing ignorant fans begging for it. If they think it's a good idea, they clearly have never played a real MMO. I tried it once... it was awful.
