The Metroid Prime trilogy was directed by an idiot

Yep, an idiot who couldn't recognize a masterpiece if he made it himself. OH WAIT.

EA is so enamored with itself it can't recognize what it's doing fundamentally wrong, and at the other end of the spectrum you have this schmuck who directed three of the greatest games of all time, and now says they sucked. I wish all games sucked like these. Way to give your vote of confidence to your former coworkers, prick. At least he didn't stay with the company long enough to slam DKC4 as well... small favors, I guess.

  1. Wow. Way for that guy to bluntly bash the people who worked long and hard to make those three critically acclaimed games. What ever happened to a great artist standing by his work no matter what? This guy is either an obsessive artist that tolerates zero shortcomings, or a complete asshat who is willing to throw everyone he's worked with under the rug at the slightest sign of criticism. Needless to say, I'm guessing he's the latter.

Sorry about being completely off-topic, but it would be super cool if you attended the Elite Four Charity Stream! ;)

    1. As it turns out, I'd already blocked the guy who runs it on YouTube (I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's because of junk mail). And I like to think that as irreverent as I am, I have more manners than to show up on the stream of someone I blocked.

    2. Ah. He said he tried to contact you but you didn't respond. If you don't care to boost his view count or get on Skype or Twitch, that's fine. I don't know if he kept bugging you, but he somehow got giants like Chuggaaconroy, Proton Jon, SuperSkarmory, and Marriland among others to be in his discussion/interview videos somehow. This stream is even on the front pages of Smogon and Bulbapedia, which is impressive at least.

    3. Yeah, that rang a bell. I'll be honest: I'd sooner quit LPing altogether than start appearing on streams and such. This is a hobby, not a job, and I want it to stay that way.

    4. MYSTERY SOLVED.

Another possibility is that he tends to want to be a first commenter, even with his status as an interviewer of really big Youtube personalities in the gaming department. I don't understand why, because really, there's nothing as pointless as that...

  2. I'm glad that attitude didn't affect the quality of the Prime games. Some people say they suck? I've only seen universal praise for the series, with many people numbering them among the best games of all time.
