Let's try this again... poll time!

I wanted to do this immediately after the previous one, but since I suspected there was trouble with the vote tallying I decided to delay it a little, hence why it's not quite as topical as it should've been. Anyway, here goes... which is your favorite April Fools video of mine?

I personally will have to go with the Hello Kitty one. It was just so hilarious, pretending that I was so knowledgeable about a babies' game... I have to admit, when I came up with the idea I couldn't stop laughing. So overall, for me it's 2010 > 2011 > 2013 > 2009 > 2012.

  1. Pretending you were the very Pokemon fan you hate the type of was the best one for me...

  2. I definitely think the Hello Kitty one was the best as well. It had me cracking up from beginning to end about how you were so serious about the entire thing, and you kept your normal style of commentary going. The episode in French was great as well, and I think that caught a lot of people off-guard.

  3. For me, it's probably the Hello Kitty one as well... probably because I find an adult playing a game intended for small children quite absurd (and I've sort of grown to like absurdity).

Fun fact: I started watching your videos with the Pokémon Red episode in French. I'm not even joking. I actually wanted to watch a Pokémon Let's Play in French at first, since most Pokémon versions we have are in French (with some in German), but then, I stuck with your English commentary on your Let's Plays and subscribed. I did not regret doing so, since your Let's Plays are quite entertaining to watch.

  4. I have to say, the French Red episode was the best one for me, because it caught me completely off-guard. All the rest were kinda obvious - no slight on you, it's the nature of these things - but since it was the first time it had happened on your channel, and since it took me like a minute or so into the video to cotton on, I have to go with that one because it made me laugh like hell when I finally twigged.

    1. That episode is even more hilarious when you understand what he says. It isn't a Google Translated script he used. While he really stayed true to his original English recording as much as possible, he did take some liberties with our very own French Canadian variants of a few words and expressions.

It's my favorite as well, mainly because I wasn't "there" for the other ones yet and it's the only April Fools which can still have an impact of some sorts when you watch it now.
(Also, the latest one didn't affect me as much as others since I'm not really into competitive battling.)

  5. I liked the newest one, because the other ones I would have seen coming a mile off whereas that one actually fooled me. It's subtle - ridiculous, and yet I wouldn't put it past Smogon given some of the absurd nonsense they've pulled.

  6. My favourites were the Hello Kitty one and the Zardtard one.
