You gotta have more stones in here!

Said every Eevee ever.

  1. One day, Flareon, your time will come... Yeah, no, can't even consider that a possibility.

  2. Yeah, an Eevee would really be THAT desperate to not be Flareon, I guess. The trainer is probably thinking, "If I chose the THUNDERSTONE instead, then you would be BEGGING me to have you use it!" Suddenly, Flareon gets Flare Blitz, lots of good physical coverage moves, and Stealth Rock gets nerfed. Imagine that. Hey, Smogon is apparently testing a metagame without Stealth Rock...

  3. Physical coverage moves aren't going to save a stat spread with low speed and sub-par defenses. The most feasible way Flareon could be saved is a mega-evolution with decent stats. Knowing game freak, it will be a fire/rock with slow start.

    1. That last sentence made me giggle out loud even if GF wouldn't be THAT assholeish. But you're right, Flareon's lack of physical moves is crippling but other pokemon at least make it to RU or UU despite similar issues themselves. Its issue is that it's slow AND can't take a hit, first and foremost. You could give it Flare Blitz, Earthquake, Powerwhip and hell even double team, still won't help that it'll almost always go second and get torn to shreds by any physical attacker let alone one of its weaknesses...and that's WITHOUT stealth rock.
